So 5 days in and I’ve accomplished my goal for the first week: worn handmade items for three days. Day 2 features the self-drafted wrap skirt I made a few years ago from stash fabric and Comet’s toddler jeans.
Day 4 I borrowed Sparkle’s handiwork and sported this pin (made by her, for me!)
Today, day 5 I am doing double duty with these capris, refashioned from full length pants after the hem wore out. The short sleeved top is a refashion from a few years ago. In it’s former life it was an XL mens shirt and belonged to DH! It is my pride and joy, and the sense of accomplishment I get from wearing it keeps me motivated to keep refashioning. I really wish I had more time and energy to do it.
There will be many repeats this September, but I have a few (hopefully quick!) projects planned to give me some variety.
